Guidelines for Oral Presentation
Your oral presentation must include two components:
A brief review of the selected research area. This review should be based on papers published in archival journals. Your review should provide a background and the current state-of-the-art in the chosen field, and should motivate the problem that you will be working on during your dissertation research.
Description of the research project that you will undertake to satisfy the requirements for the doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering. You should pose the problem, discuss its importance, and anticipated results. You should describe your approach to achieving research goals of your project, and outline anticipated results.
Your presentation should take 15 minutes or less, and will be followed by a discussion. The presentation must be professional in format and delivery. The computer projector and notebook computer will be available for your use.
